Waiting in a cafe, I see a woman arrives with curly hair and sorrounded by a cigarette cloud. Francisca Vargas or María Francisca sits next to me, I know her sice two years, but sometime I feel like if was much more. She always carrys the south magic (like Colun says), and a bag with her esencial elements like water and cigarettes.
This smart journalism student was born in 27 of december of 1990, in Puerto Montt in south of Chile. She lived her first years of life in Chiloé, a beautiful and mystic island, and after that came back to Puerto Montt where lived until she start a university career.
She is the older of two, her little brother Matias lives in Puero Montt, and he is finishing the school. Even she says that doesn´t have a very good relation with him, there is something in her way of talk about her brother that shows a lot of tenderness and protection.
When Francisca first came to the big city (Santiago) was to study law in the University of Chile. This is a career with a lot of prestigious, but it wasn´t that she wanted. After the first semester she left the career and look for something that really like. In that moment decided to study journalism.
Now, since 2011, she is working in the commission to reform the tax system of the University of Chile. She has to interview a lot of people and makes public relations. She enjoy this work because she like the power. The interview that she like most was Marco Enríquez-Ominami, because he is more interesting.
She doesn´t know what she want to do in the future, because she didn´t think about that. But all that she do is great, so also be her shiny future.

A great journalist!
Of all the journalists, the one I really love is old school, he is Gustavo González. He was born in 1946 in Linares, in the south of Chile.
He studied journalism in the Univesity of Chile, and after that he became the assistant of professor Mario Planet. He has a graduate in cultural journalism and criticism in 1998, and in 2009 a master in politic comunication. Until 2011 he taught writing in University of chile, but now he is retired.
He started working in the radio of the Universidad Técnica del Estado, after that he became editor in the magazine Chile Hoy, in Ecuador he wrote for the magazine Nueva, and for Inter Press Service.
When he come back to Chile he wrote in a lot of newspapers, and also some books like Caso Spiniak, and Las memorias de la Globalización.
I like him because he wrote about a lot of interesting topics like economy, politic, enviroment, the equality of genre, and much more. Also like his way of make class, he always want that every student be creative, and different that all the typical journalist.
